Gower Chemicals
Operating since 1978, a new era dawned for Gower Chemicals in 2014, when German based Scheruhn Industrie-Mineralien (SIM), purchased Gower Chemicals. With fresh investment, and the addition of state-of-the-art facilities at Sherburn-in-Elmet, in 2016, Gower Chemicals has grown to be a leading player in the UK chemical distribution network.
Our principal activities are the production of a wide range of acid and base chemicals diluted and blended to bespoke customer specifications.
In particular we are the UK hub for hydrofluoric acid and premium quality sulphuric acid. We dilute and package a range of acid products for various markets. We also toll pack and reclaim refrigerant gases.
Quality
We are safety focused and operate to high quality, safety and environmental standards, achieving BSI ISO 9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 accreditation across our Business. Our sites at Swansea and Sherburn-in-Elmet are lower tier COMAH and upper tier COMAH respectively. We share good safety practice throughout our supply chain and are bronze medal Ecovadis certified.
